Facts about one of my good friends:
• He is smart, in dress and in thought
• I envy his ability to grow facial hair
• He is an excellent photographer, and not one of those IG narcissists who just post selfies all the time
• He has a great sense of humor. I find myself laughing often when I am with him

• He is very sociable and friendly – his peer circle is extensive

Yes, he betrayed the person that was supposed to be his BFF, Robb Stark, but think about it from a different perspective; he stayed loyal to his family, and he was just getting back at the people who held him captive for half of his life.
Theon is my favourite character because he is one of the more complex individuals in the series.
Imagine the turmoil and despair he must have experienced when deciding where his loyalties lay – with the person who accepted him and considered him a brother, or with his father, bound to him by blood, but had nothing but contempt for him?
How it must have felt growing up amongst wolves, and knowing you never could be one of them, then returning to your home only to discover that you did not belong with the krakens, either? Forever a pariah, never knowing where you belonged; a prisoner in one place and a stranger in the other.
And get this: even after he chose family over friends, he still did not receive any praise or respect. Then he had a brilliant plan, which backfired and made it necessary for him to slaughter two innocent children. Think of how they haunt him, just because he wanted to save face in front of the people whose approval he needed most (second only to his father).
Then these people give him a concussion, and his former BFF wants to murder him.
Being Theon Greyjoy is a tough job. Don’t judge, haters!
